自從1978年長青文化公司成立以來，我們就致力於推展中華文化，並提供海外華人不可或缺的精神食糧。同時，我們也希望與主流社會建立一個溝通的渠道，因此定期出版中英對照書目，作為美國圖書館或個人採購的依據。八十年代起，本公司更開始系列出版有關美國生活的書籍，協助海外移民了解美國人，認識美國社會。懷抱著這份理想，我們竭盡人力物力，至今已出版四十餘種關於申請移民、經商、法律、報稅、英語學習、美國歷史等的實用性書籍，對華人在新大陸安居樂業極有俾益；對所有欲進一步瞭解美國的人，也是不可不讀之參考用書。
此外，為使閱讀能提供休閒的樂趣，本公司亦出版了十餘種藝文小品。今年我們邀請名作家蓬丹女士為愛書的朋友規劃「文情之美」系列作品，為讀者編印更多高水準的文學創作。

Ever since our establishment in 1978, Evergreen has made great efforts to contribute to maintain Chinese culture in America. Moreover, we are striving to build a mutually beneficial relationship between American culture and Chinese heritage. With this principle in mind, a bilingual catalog similar to this is published periodically to help librarians and readers to purchase Chinese books. In mid 80's, Evergreen started to publish books about America in order to help Chinese immigrants to settle in their adopted country - America - a land they now call home. We have put in tremendous amount of time and efforts to compile these books. Up to now, there are over 40 titles in the subject areas such as applying for immigrantion and naturalization to U.S., running a business, American law, filing tax returns, English language learning, American history & customs etc., all of them have proved to be most useful to new immigrants and those who wish to know more about living in America.
Our publications also include some leisure readings, travel momoirs, and essays. This year, we have requested Peng Tan, who is an award-winning, well-respected Chinese writer, to be the editor of a literary series entitled "The Beauty Of Literature" which is to provide quality books for the reading enjoyment of book lovers.
With years of hard working, Evergreen has set up many branches all over California and has many distributors around the country. The conference room of Evergreen main branch provides the best space and location for medium-size art exhibitions, workshops and seminars. We are proud of what we have achieved and are still trying our best to offer the highest-quality service and resources to our readers.
